My lockdown walk🚶

 My lockdown walk🚶

Hi Chickens🐔 and Roosters🐓. Today I will be talking about my favourite thing I did during lockdown. My favourite thing I did during lockdown was go on a nice walk through cornwall park with my Mum. We walked through the sheep padock and the cow padock and then out we walked a little longer until we found a padock tat you couldn't go in then we saw why there were pure black sheep. We walked up to the fence and looked at the Black Sheep we saw a few slightly grown up lambs.

We made baa noises and I gently held out my hand with grass on it, one of the lambs came over and started nibbling on it. When it was finished it put it's he neck so I started scraching it, while Alice scratching its neck it put the side of it's belly up to the fence so I would scratch it and I did and he seemed to enjoy it.

My mum told me we had to go so when we're about to leave we started walking and he followed us until we at actually had to leave to my Mum's work. I think that day was a really good day and I hope it happens again.

Hope you enjoyed my blog here is a photo of me scraching it's neck, blog you later BYE!!!!!

Hola Chickens 🐔 and Roosters🐓 welcome to Term 3 hope you all had a great holiday and if you didn't that's fine too no one's judging you. Any way if you are wondering why I changed my intro it is because it is now Term 3 and it is time for a change. So this week in writing we  have been looking at 8 different Olympics disruptions there were different reasons why they we cancelled or postponed here is a photo of my work and the reasons after. If you can't read that it says: The 1916 games were cancelled because WW1 ( world war one),The 1920 Games were awarded to Antwerp to honour the suffering that had been forced on the Belgian people during the war, The 1940 games were cancelled Because of WW2 (world war 2) only the 1948 games were held, The 1944 games were cancelled Because of WW2 (world war 2) only the 1948 games were held,  1968 A few day before the games some people were protesting about the Mexican government’s use of the money for the Olympics instead of other programs 200 protester were killed and several were injured,The 1972 games we suspended because there were some people doing gun shooting,There was a big bomb and 22 people were killed and 200 people were injured. Hope you enjoyed my blog, see you later bye!!!

STEM week Waikowhai student led toolkits🧑‍💻🧑‍💻🧑‍💻

STEM week Waikowhai student led toolkits🧑‍💻🧑‍💻🧑‍💻

Hi guys still working on a new name for you. Anyway on Friday 11th of June we had a Waikowhai student led toolkits. We did the toolkits because of STEM week (STEM means S science T technology E engineering M mathematics). A few days before toolkits we had to do a google form to pick what toolkits and there were so many options this was all the options, Musiclab, Google maps, Book creator, Google slide animation, Word art, Drones, Spheros, Webcam toy, Incredibox, Makey makey, Piskel, Brainbox. And I was one of the presenters presenting Musiclab!!!

We had three sessions and we got to do one toolkit each session. The first toolkit I went to was Word art by  Vivian and Hazel we got to make cool pictures with just using words here is a photo of what my favourite thing I made was (click on first one for link.) How to use it, one write down all of your words, choose a cool shape that you like, choose a good font that you can read, choose the layout of how the words are going to be placed, choose the colour of everything, then your done!!!

Second toolkit: Musiclab by Paityn and Erana
I think that my first toolkit that I got to present was really good because all the kids were listening to me and Erana. First we introduced ourselves and taught them what it is about and how to use it.We talked to them about some of the different things you can use to make music. My favourite thing on Musiclab was Kandinskey.

Last toolkit was Musiclab (Again) by Paityn and Erana

I think that this one was harder because no one was lisning to us it was a bit harder also because everyone was laughing at us while we were doing it. Over all I think it was really bad every one was loud.

Hope you liked my blog make sure you comment and have a good day blog you later BYE!!!

Year 6 trip to Spark Arena 😁🚌🚌

Year 6 trip to Spark Arena😁🚌🚌

Hi chickens🐔(Yes I changed it to my favourite animals), today some of the year sixes were lucky enough to go to a place called Spark Arena. It took us half and hour to get there but when we did get there we did stuff that was really fun .We got to see 3 exhibitions; Van Gogh, Happy Place and last but not lest Sounds fun. We went inside and sat down on the mat in the Sounds fun room and we met  Some really cool people. We met someone called Suzy Cato, Steve and the CEO Brendan.

First we went into Happy Place. Happy Place is based on Instagram and there are different sections where you can take cool photos. Some of the things there were was, a cookie, chains, unicorn, upside down room and... THE BIG BALL PIT!!!. my favourite one was the unicorn

After that we did The Sounds Fun ExperienWe were taught how to play trumpets, trombones, electric drums and more. We then learned from a really cool recording studio manager (Barnaby) how to use a loop machine to create music with lots of instrument, beats and even our voices.

Last but not lest we went to the amazing Van Gogh Experience. This was a walk through digital wall with his amazing art all over it, it also had the story of his life. It was so cool to see all of his paintings come to life. There was classical music surrounding us.

Hope you enjoyed my blog. Blog you later bye!!! 😁😁😁

Swimming at Cameron Pools 🏊🏊🏊

 Swimming at Cameron Pools 🏊🏊🏊

Hi guinea pigs 🐹. Today I will be talking about Cameron Pools. Every Tuesday and Thursday me and my class go to Cameron Pools. The whole syndicate goes at different times because we don't have enough space for everyone. Since we go at different times, Waitemata & Kaiwhare have to have lunch a little bit early. Once we finished our lunch we had to get changed and then we leave.

We all got assigned a coach but had to switch classes my first coaches name was Jasmine and my new coaches name is Brittany. What we were learning was how to do free style and side kicks. When were ending on the first week Brittany lets us do dolphin dives and this week she let us do mermaid kicks.

It is really important for all children in NZ to learn how to swim because we live on an island and are surrounded by water.

Hope you enjoy my blog, blog ya later bye!!!

Life in the TRENCHES!!!👲👲👲

 Life in the TRENCHES!!!👲👲👲

Hey guinea pigs 🐹. On Wednesday the 14th of April we had to experience what it was like to be in the war. First we had to enter "no mans land" also known as the Trenches and we were warned once we get in it will be fun but once you get half way though the day it will be uncomfortable.

Once we all got in we had to get our art book and had to do a basic facts test and we called it "the test under gunfire" and I think I did pretty well considering that was gun noises everywhere. When we did the test we did some ANZAC maths.

We had a little break we did 20 push ups and 10 sit ups then we got our fruit it was a pear. After fruit break we had to write a letter from the trenches this is what I wrote we then had morning tea.

"Dear Mama Nana and Poppa.

At war we are very squished, my knees are sore and there is barely any food. It is very loud and there are so many people dying because of all the gunshots. There are so many rats as big as cats eating all of our food. There are very bad people killing everyone. All of my friends are gone and there are not much of us left. It is freezing and nearly everyone is sick. Oh no someone just died! We are all so stinky and our feet are so mouldy. We are leaving now to go to Gallipoli, this will be our sixth place that we've been to since all the places are too dangerous. I am really sad that I have to leave you for so long. We are getting on the boat now. Hope I get to see you soon

Lots of love from: Paityn. W,XOXO"

We also did a poem this is what I did

Lots of gunshots

Only bad food

Very little amount of people left

E everyone has injuries

Rats the size of cats eating our food

Soldiers getting reading for battle He-ya

After morning tea we split into two groups. Group 1 my group went swimming first and the pool was freezing then we get read a story and we had to draw pictures of what was in the story then we had lunch.

After lunch we had to do something weird we had to untangle the string but we had to do it blind folded it was hard but we manged.

I hope you like my blog if you did make sure you comment. Here are some photos.

Our syndicate treaty 🧑‍⚖️🗺️

Our syndicate treaty 🧑‍⚖️🗺️

Hi Guinea Pigs 🐹, the last two weeks (counting lockdown) we worked on our syndicate treaty we all had to write down some ideas about what it could be, my idea was that the treaty could be NZ but someone else had that idea so I thought that we could have the earth, but we decided to do a book shelf. We all had to write some ideas about what we were going to write on the treaty when we did that we had to colour some  little book spines and write our names on the book. When we did all of that stuff we sadly went into lockdown but the teachers went to school and coloured and made the treaty and glued our little book spines onto it. When they did that they wrote down our treaty here is what it says

Partnership

  • Treat others the way you want to be treated
  • Make good choices so you can do your best
  • Be kind and friendly to your self and others
  • Include people if they are left out and help them if they need it
Protection

  • Respect ours and others property
  • Put your rubbish in the right bin
  • Stand up for others
  • Be careful around others
Participation

  • Use appropriate language around class and school.
  • Listen to staff and our peers.
  • Be a good example for others around us to to follow.
hope you all liked my blog here is a photo of our treaty

Hi guinea pigs🐹 it me Paityn and today I will tell you what I did in lockdown. My feelings about lockdown are it was a little bit boring but I did get to spend a lot of time with my family. My favourite time with my family was that I got to watch the last episode of season 1 of Wandavision with my mum in lockdown. My favourite school activity was doing my writing in the lockdown dairy. I feel happy that I can see my friends because they are like family to me and I love them nearly as much as my real family. bye guinea pigs🐹!!!
